Potters' Club

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I join right now?

Yes.* The club ordinarily accepts new members any time. If you are not joining at the beginning of a regular club session (January, May, or September), dues for your first session are $38 if the session is more than half over.

*There is currently a waiting list for new membership in the club. Information about joining the club and getting on the waiting list can be found at: http://www.prairienet.org/potters/joining.php.

Will someone train me to do my committee work?

Yes. New members should be experienced enough to make and glaze their own pots without help, but training is provided for committee work.

Is continuing education available to club members?

Yes, on an informal basis. The club holds workshops on glazing and other topics based on member requests. If you would like more formal instruction or don't wish to work independently, consider taking one of the Champaign Park District's classes.
