Cleanup and Maintenance Committee
Committee members are expected to contribute at least four to eight hours per month (one to two hours per week) to cleanup tasks. Please contact the chair(s) for more information.
Committee Jobs
- Bring plastic from the dry cleaners to the studio.
- Bring boxes and maintain the packing of items for the annual sale, including unclaimed items on the shelf in the large throwing room.
- Wash and rinse the floor mats at a car wash. The treasurer can reimburse expenses.
- Sweep and mop the floor, including under the tables. Use a scrub brush on caked areas.
- Empty the trash cans and replace the trash bags. Put full trash bags in the trash barrels on the front porch of the Springer Cultural Center.
- Wash the towels at a laundromat. The treasurer can reimburse expenses.
- Wipe all the shelves in the studio, including in the cabinets.
- Wipe the slab roller and wedging canvas.
- Wash the walls around the three wheels in the back room.
- Pay particular attention to the work area around the three wheels in the back room. Students do not clean this work area.
- Perform maintenance tasks like changing light bulbs and whatever else seems reasonable.
